Exactly - Status sporty/sports GTs are generally more apt to be mid-life crisis cars than affordable sports cars. Heavy, flashy, expensive that's the 370/G37, Corvette, Panamera, and nearly all muscle cars to a T. He was just projecting. Real enthusiats are more likely to drive MX-5's, '86's, and Lotuses.

Not sure, but if so I'm going to make it to 104.

Clearly this is a playful jab designed to create buzz and lead into their launching a new design. I think this is GREAT!

A new sports car from Nissan is a good thing. Bring it on!

I have found proof of what the midlife crisis car is. If it's in a meme it must be true.

i think he's more off his rocker then he thinks..
If they can undercut the weight of the 86 and have a comparable chassis and suspension that thing is a winner, I would definitely go for a test drive (doubt I'd jump ship though, don't have the income to just throw away on chasing the next thing). Looking at the Juke the headlights aren't that outlandish, the body reminds me of the RX8.

I always hope that Renault styling will creep back to America through Nissan, if that sketch comes to life I'd be a happy enthusiast.

Edit: would be better NA but I'll take what I can get as an anonymous internet goer with no money.

Seriously, WTF is a mid-life crisis? I'm 50. I have never been overcome with the feeling that my life is half over. It could be 99% over for all I know. I enjoyed some very extreme sports in my youth and now take pleasure in my children's (who are now adults) accomplishments and some very mild activities for me. I feel no need to relive or recapture my youth, I'm just glad to have survived it. I really don't want to do it again.

I believe Porsche owns the mid life crisis trophy. Not the most down to earth companies Subaru and Toyota. YOU JUST JEALOUS Datsun!

Shut up Nissan and build a new 240SX already!

I've had so much fun working on my 95 S14 recently. BRING IT BACK!

This Palmer guy has surprisingly little knowledge of his competitors and the target market....they have the GTR / 370Z / Maxima and that's about it right now...I'm disappointed Nissan doesn't have an FR-S / BRZ fighter yet...

LOL, I was talking to a co-worker and he said even on the Mustang forums they were confused by this guy calling the BRZ a midlife crisis car. So we aren't the only ones that thinks this is asinine.

I take it as Nissan said they could have done better as in

1/ Lighter
2/ Sexier
3/ Faster
4/ Handling Better
5/ Cheaper
6/ More Reliable

Especially, the Faster, Handling Better, Cheaper. I think he means Nissan will Beat FT86 in every-way and under his Eyes in the Future Car that he has in his pocket, the FT86 is nothing more than a Mid-life Crisis car.

Words has it that Nissan is reviving it's 240Z with 2.4L Turbo engine in a light Chasis, and affordable to Compete with FT86.

Though I am surprised at how much confidence he has to throw this stone at the FT86 though. There is no possibility to make that 240Z cheaper than FT86 now, unless it is made of Plastics

Everything will be answered Next week in Tokyo !!!
