this kit seems to keep a smaller gap between HP and TQ then most. so at 280 hp u will b at or past the clutch limit of 225. even at almost 220 i wud swap it rather then risk it slip while driving or going out with no warning

Thanks re-looking at Innovate's SC w/IC dyne, (showing 199 tq) I think with e85 i might end up around 215-220 ?

That's close to the OEM clutch limits. I'm sure you'll be fine for awhile. If you want the most OEM feeling clutch (read: easy engagement, not super heavy) definitely go with the exedy stage 1. ptuning has it for $400 shipped. I really wish I could've kept this clutch for longer lol.

It holds ~300wtq. It was slipping at 310 on the dyno according to FullBlown

So you are saying it holds 300wtq, even though it has a 203 rating?

Yup. Definitely check out the clutch input thread (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34635) which has the same argument about this.
They rate the stock clutch at 203wtq, and also state 70% higher holding capacity for the stage 1 kit. Somehow that math equates to 203wtq

I ran the clutch for ~1000 miles with 370/300 (dynapack) and had no issues. Once the boost was upped it started slipping. Ptuning shared the same experience. If you definitely aren't going past 300wtq, go with the exedy!

Ok thanks, I found it odd the stage 1 was only 203 ... I won't be anywhere near 300wtq... I think I am sold.

exedy rates weird. all clutches r listed at crank. then u subtract 20% to see the limit to the wheels. but exedy subtracts another 25% after that for "safety". basically ill never slip in the safety range, but its lil 80 tq less then the actual limit
