Same issue here - it began when it got cold out. Pretty much happens every start up but no codes.

I'm not concerned about it.

DI seals would pop all the time at any temps. The cat warmup will only do it on pretty cold days and stop after a few minutes. Mine only did it late in the fall when the temps got close to 0c.

Although mine doesn't pop that much, but the sound is similar. But usually I start driving earlier and I never get those sounds other than on occasional cold startup.

I don't think it's DI seals since I have an 01C cal and still under 5k miles.

The lean misfire thing makes sense - I just switched from E0 to E10 and the first cold startup on E10 it popped more than it ever has before - probably because fuel trims were dialed back for E0, and as a result E10 was probably running a little lean before the ECU had a chance to learn and adjust fuel trims.
I notice the same sound (even i can feel it a light rumble) when starting up my car this morning. It was a very cold morning in jersey (it felt -10 F). it only happens for the first 15 seconds that the car is starting up. Then it goes away and never hear it or feel it when driving.

Should i be concern?

Nope. Until the engine warms up a tad you can and will get some bad ignition. If it continues after warm then start to worry.

Nah I wouldn't be. I get the same thing when its colder than -20C (-4F). If I have the car plugged in for a few hours it never happens. Maybe post a video?

Yes mine does the same thing when is very cold outside. It goes away after the car is warmed up. I read on the forum and somebody its said that is related to the cat warming up and stuff like that. Im not worry about it the car drives fine.

Why automatically jump to the conclusion of "dying injector seals"? Very cold systems act strange and as long as it clears up when warmed then it does not immediately mean there is a failure.

The car has about 500miles on the odm. Its not doing that anymore (and its still doing cold starts). Maybe it was doing that because the car was too new.. anyways worth case i'll take to the dealer, i have 6 year subaru gold extended warranty.

You can add me to the list. Pretty sure it's "normal" as I've asked some other local owners and the same thing happens to them as well.

With that few miles the ECU would have still been learning so that could be a big part of it.
Not much sense taking to the dealer since it has stopped and they can't replicate it they won't do a thing.
