I am going to see if this helps: http://mystarbrite.com/startron/

I put it in my motorcycles, for other reasons.

Hence my 95% statement, personal statistic I pulled out of my ass, I would not be surprised if a car goes 300k miles with no fuel issues with 2 stroke oil in every tank.

Could you elaborate about it "not being needed in the winter"?

For me, the chirps were at their worst on hot days. Since it is colder in the winter, the chirps shouldn't be much of an issue. That has been my observation.

Funny, the first time I noticed my car was completely silent it was 110+ outside and I had just gotten done driving through the foothills in a spirited manner. I got the car in January, car got quieter as the months got warmer.

I have yet to see anything definitive, but even at it's loudest the noise was just an annoyance, wasn't going to do anything about it until confirmed failures were reported, so far none yet.

The chirp is just an annoyance. One that I got rid of. I have even gone down to a 1:1200 ratio on the 2T and I'm still chirp free.

After the pump issues, I can't imagine them having the stones to do so. On the other hand.... I'd be more worried about it gumming up something else. Found this while googlin' around:

http://www.klotzlube.com/techsheet.asp?ID=51

Klotz Uplon Fuel Lube provides upper cylinder and fuel pump lubrication. Protects the induction and fuel delivery systems from dry, abrasive properties of methanol alcohol. Uplon Fuel Lube increases horsepower by reducing power robbing friction. Seal conditioners maintain constant fuel pressure and prevent lean-out conditions. Blends with gasoline, methanol alcohol and nitromethane.

Yeah that phrase makes my bullshit meter go off.

Company seems a bit off their rockers, but hey whatever helps you sleep at night.

Sounds like snake oil to me, I wouldn't expect more HP but if it fixes the crickets and it's safe to burn, more power to you. Either way, I'd rather deal with the crickets and wait for a fix than putting an unknown into my fuel system that's just going to cost money. Especially something that should be covered by the warranty when there's eventually a fix.

I've been running this stuff for a while now. Lucas 2 stroke low ash. Using 1-2oz in a full tank. It's night and day between a tank with it and a tank without.

Don't care about the HP claims. And there does seem to be a new fuel pump on the way. When it does arrive, I'm going to wait and see.

It might be snake oil, but if you looked at today's gasoline, especially California's gas, I'd call the gasoline snake oil before i called anything from Klotz snake oil.

Klotz, as far as I know, is one of THE best oil companies. I may be wrong, but I remember when mixing my own Nitro fuels for models, Klotz was the very best oil to add.

Today's gas formulations are just stupid, mixed more for emissions than performance, and the addition of ethanol just adds more problems into the mix.

A capfull of 2-stroke oil per tankfull will do absolutely nothing negative.
