Trust me... Scion dealers know jack shit about shit. I should know as I've gone through the buying process of two of them (tC for me, xD for the g/f). I've known ridiculous amounts more about the car than any of them. Sure - some are better than others.

But I guarantee that the guy you talked to was talking out of his ass. Yes, there is a new tC coming (likely debuting at the NY auto show) but it will NOT be the FT-86. It is based on the Fuse concept and will likely have 2.5L engine at about 180hp. Still FWD.

im pretty sure that the FT is going to the new TC, or a scion any ways! so sad.

25k is too expensive for scion.

However, I do believe it will be a Scion.
