I suppose the 20th June release date makes more sense now (from 8th June). They added another version and did a rethink with the model names. It's all coming together.

Pretty soon it all comes together if you line all the info together you get a fair idea of what the car will be, how much, and when its coming. Of course until Toyota say so its all just noises in the wind but you get some fairly accurate figures.

To me for someone to say "Toy Aus had done us proud" im thinking thats a pretty big statement (assuming this person truly knows the figures) and a story not worth telling for a few thousand.

A statement like that merits 5-6k difference to what we was all lead to believe.

So I got bored earlier today at work and decided to call Toyota and just ask about prices etc. One guy I spoke to at Preston Toyota gave me a bit of info at least. At least he knew about it and that there were the GT and GTS models. He actually said prices would be 35+ ORC's for the GT and GTS would be 40+ ORC's. I know it's all speculation still so am taking that with a grain of salt.

The other person I spoke to at Melbourne City Toyota wasn't so helpful. He said it's due in June and there are no details about it and to call back in 2 months

The waiting is killing me...

Call him again next week and ask the same question and see what answer you get, he wont remember you and im guessing you will get a different result.

Dealers know fuck all till head office distribute information. 9 out of 10 people on this forum would know more then the dealers and have for a long long time.

So for $2-4K extra (comparing GTS and GTS Aero), you get a rear wing and Alcantara seats. I can't see the $2-4K price. Unless Alcantara is that good? Is it that good?

I thought GTS has leather/suede already and aero would just be rear wing and flat bottom?

Or they are mirroring JDM spec? In which case that's excellent news and I'd go GT spec!! Don't really want leather/suede but i want push start, HID/LED etc.
