I doubt that the BRZ will do over 145mph. Maybe close to 140mph on a good day with the wind pushing. LOL Also, the car is probably limited from the factory to something in the 110's.

Hell no way. I was born and grew up in IL.

No way stock gearing gets up to 180mph and no way a "post-tune" gets you there either.

That is not true for all cars. Some are limited to 130. Some are limited to 155. Others have no limited speed. Companies limit the top speed due to liability, warranty and not having to design cars with brakes and tires that could stand going over the limited speed.

It's also very easy for your aftermarket tuners to remove said limit with a reflash. It generally comes standard in a basic flash.

I'm not "stock with a tune", and yeah gearing does cut out around 178, but close enough, eh?

my frieands 2010 mustang is limitied to 120

my speedo says 160 but ive only managed 151

im pushing 18x whp to the ground and about 138 lbft and i got 151

145 doesnt seem impossible, i would check the speed ratings on the tire before i went and took it for a top speed run

i purposely put tires with a 120mph speed limit on my car so i stopped speeding so much lol..
