Depends on what your plans are and where you want the performance. For me, I don't really feel a huge need for the extra power around town, so I'll probably be DDing on regular pump gas and filling up from empty with the good stuff for autocross, so manual switching will work for me. If you want no-hassle extra power all the time, then flex fuel is the way to go.

Sure thing. I'm hoping to be there both days.

Is it manual switch as in re-flash or is it using the ECUtek map-switching feature?

Is there a place near Goodyear/Avondale that sells E85?
I am doing this exact thing. Going in on e10/91oct and taking my e85 with me. That was I am not delaying time and having to jump off the dyno. This is ideal and I feel anyone doing e85 should take it with them and be ready.

As long as the E85 doesn't melt my gas can.

I got to see it dissolve a fuel cell this past weekend. It's nasty.

You already know I'm in. I'm not gonna do E85 or flex fuel, or pumps, or injectors. I'll leave the car as is for now, at least until I get a meth kit and install it. I'll see if anyone at the Tucson meet tonight is on the fence and if I can convince them to jump on board. There's some guys on base that have FRS's that might go for a tune.

I'm actually not sure what "manual" switching is. I was under the impression that we will have to reflash with the cable. But Marin said that you could potentially change it on the fly using the cruise control.

Email toni to ask if he is willing to do the "on the fly" switching via map selection. Thats up to him & the end user. Typically manual switching would be actually re-flashing the ECU. Which is what most members on E85 have been doing up to now. Thats why im paying the $550 extra for flex fuel, no worrying about what fuel i have that day! woo!

Please do! Were right at the pivoting point right now of the 10 minimal people we need for me to finalize it all (im already jumping to finalize and pay anyway, so hopefully everyone shows up otherwise im paying for it out of pocket haha). Should be lots-o-fun! I just got a few more PM's this morning of people interested hopefully they decide to bite the bullet and join in.

Again people are more than welcome to come spectate and hang out!

If you are getting an e85 only tune i would recommend getting below 10% pump gas then filling the enitre tank. You want to have the closest to e85 as possible for him tuning it. Otherwise after he leaves and you guys are filling up with different ethanol levels you wont be exactly at what the tune was calibrated for.

Flex fuel guys are fine probably fine with just a can.

I think

anyone that is doing dual maps he will have them drive in circles until that fuel light comes on HAHA. He discussed this with me last night. Should be interesting seeing a bunch of 86's driving in circles to burn fuel.
