On my car with stickier tires the OEM pads couldn't engage ABS at all in a straight line with warm tires, with the new pads it has no problem. I don't have any quantitative data, but I would bet mine stops at least a few feet shorter with the new pads.
On stock tires I could easily engage ABS so it wouldn't have made any difference at all.

I was hoping maybe the vented/slotted rotors would help cool the brakes better and resist fade. Its the fade i am more concerned with not so much the stopping power. Stopping power is more related to emergency stop in a straight line, while brake fade is a huge factor when braking mid cornering due to the weigh transfer.

But it does get better, just speaking bang for the buck. Pads get you 75-80% of the way there though. BBK with soft pads are a waste of time and money.

I recommend to keep in on the cheap to start with pads and fluid. After you wear out those pads and save up money, get the AP Racing sprint kit, or the Wilwood kit. If you aren't tracking more than once a year use your money on something else and stick with pads and fluid.

for track days just get some blank cheap rotors with some ferodo or carbo tech pads. SS brake lines if you feel like it but since it's 100$ why not. But most importantly, brake fluid. Motul, ATE blue, etc. Just a warning, ive boiled motul rbf600 in my old STi but in a light car like the FRS it should be no problem. For a DD though, stop tech street pads, again motul or ATE fluid, and you're good to go.

Off topic, but if you're concerned with brake fade mid corner you're probably not driving right. Ideally most of the braking is done before the corner entry, if you're trail braking hard enough to get fade you might want a different line?
