And that's why I have been researching openflash as an option. Also not having to have a pc laptop to use is a huge plus. (Mac guy)

Unichip certainly still seems like a pretty good option, it's just depending on what you want to accomplish. For people wanting as easy/cheaper tune it seems like a solid way to go.

So Open Flash wouldn't leave any footprint? I know we can flash back our stock ROM but doesn't it still leave evidence that it's been re-flashed?
It's hard to gauranty if any tune will or will not leave any type of footprint. In the case of the OpenFlash Tablet, the stock map you can write back into your ECU (before dealership visits) is 100% stock. Byte for byte.

With other flashing solutions (Ecutek and BRZedit), the map isn't identical to the factory file. If the ROM is read at the dealership level, they can determine if the ECU has been modified. But I have never heard of a dealership reading the file off an ECU so I think this may be an unreasonable concern.

I'm not sure why I never put this together, but you guys worked with Vishnu performance?! I come from the BMW world. I think I just found my tuning option...
