I agree you were mistreated and you should definitely report this to the GM of the dealership so that this dealer doesn't get away treating another honest customer like this again. I had a similar experience when first searching for my car. I test drove the whiteout that was available on the lot and told the dealer firsthand that I was not looking to purchase their modded out whiteout but he still insisted on me test driving it. After I returned from the test drive, he tried everything in the book to get me to take the bait but I told him that I was given a VIN of a bare bones whiteout coming into the dealership that I wanted to place a deposit on. He stated that the VIN just disappeared and he couldn't locate the car that I wanted. After that, he pretty much was done talking and show my fiance and I the door without even trying to at least figure out a way to still do business together.

On using the recent grad discount, Toyota is very strict on you meeting their terms. If your transcript does not show your tentative graduation date, I would wait until this information is available as Toyota will have nothing to go on to prove that you have met their terms for the discount to apply. Also, if you have a job in the field in which you are getting your diploma, they will ask for check stubs to prove your employment status.

I wish you luck on finding your next car!

Don't be too concerned about his attitude toward your salary. I walked out of a dealership because they wanted my salary. I told them I was self employed @ $15K per year and he told me I could not afford the car. Left, went elsewhere and wrote a check for six figures to another dealer. Moral of the story, don't ever judge a book by its cover.

You should go and deal with the other sales manager thats on a different shift and a different salesman, look around talk to a few find a decent guy and buy from him that would piss both the shitheads off cause they lost the sales and 1 less on the sales board for both of them. That is if you even want to deal with that dealership anymore.

Hold up, your tl;dr isn't sufficient.

> Doesn't understand College Rebate Program, refuses to check it
> Has an emotional outburst when you show some hesitation about buying
> Refuses to give you back college transcript, utility bill, offer sheet
> Implies a Scion iQ is expensive

Idk why you're being polite about this. I would at least notify the manager. Think about how many sales he has lost the dealership due to his childish anger issues. Really, a kid coming in to a Scion dealership with his dad, and actually sitting down and discussing prices should be a 100% sale. Especially with the pure pricing, where there isn't any haggling anyway.

I don't take bull5hit, I would call toyota, I would do everything in my power to get that guy fired. u mess with me, I will DAMN mess with you!

I would go back, get a business card (send a friend to get one) would make sure his name, dealership, etc is posted all over the freaking internet, specially toyota/scion forums I would also send him the links so he can see for himself.

yup I don't take crap lightly. I would specially do it for the insult to my dad.

Call the dealership and ask for the sales manager...tell him the story and then thank him and say that you are so glad you went with a BRZ instead lol...they'll be less than thrilled with whomever gave you a hard time

People like that are a big part of the reason that Scion is not doing sales within the range of corporate expectations.

Talk to the general manager of the dealership, and if he doesn't care, just let Scion know about it...they will care about your experience if you frame your story constructively and politely.

If nothing comes of it, so what, at least you got it off your chest.

People like that dont belong in customer service positions esp. @ a dealer. Shop around first impressions are everything and if that guy acted like a total douche it says something about the quality of the dealership and personnel who work there. "too expensive for you" LMFAO that'sa new one, Toyota dealership saying that. Are you sure you wernt in a Mercedes dealership
