See my comment about primer. You need to be on top of paint chips, though - touch them up ASAP, on the hood; if corrosion starts in on the aluminum, you'll be in a world of hurt (see Ford Expedition liftgates/F-150 hoods and tailgates).

It's funny because that's exactly the reason why I ordered an Ultramarine, because of the colour changing effects. That colour simply is amazing to my colourblind eyes haha.

But anyway, I'd say black. Here's why: if you plan on getting anything paint protections things like clear bra (which I recommend), it's going to be far less noticeable on the black. Plus, any discolouration of the clear bra will be obvious on the white as soon as it starts to happen.

Also, the plastic bumpers and the metal on the white have a very slightly colour difference because of the pearl paint being really hard to match since they're not painted together, but separately in different locations and then put together.
If you have major OCD like me, the colour differences, especially to colourblind people like who can notice differences in shades much easier than normal people, will be a big bother and it'll make you wish you chose the black.

Other than the fact that black gets dirty easier, there's really no other downside to the colour if your mind is set up on either black or white. Plus, it getting dirty faster will only make you take care of your car more, which isn't a bad thing at all.

Good luck.

Again: if you are going to start nitpicking the details, you are sort of missing out on the big picture...

Don't look at this car from an investment or "keeping it as clean as possible" perspective. Cars are poor "investments" and the constant need to keep it spotless will just drive you mad in the long run.

I washed the car after driving it home from CO (~1100 miles), waxed it a week after, noticed some minor chips in the bumper, and you know what I thought?

"Cool, this car is fun to drive!"

My '05 Camry's roof is peeling clear coat, and it's been hit by so many shopping carts in Chinese plazas I can't even begin to count where the first one started and the last one ended. But in the end, it's a car...

For you truly paranoid ones: feel free to clear bra or use 3M Paint Defender on the entire car if you want to protect every inch of the car. But honestly, some colors (darker) will just be harder to maintain, some colors (lighter) will be harder to keep clean, there's no right or wrong answer here.

I always frown upon threads that ask "what color wheels go best with this color car", and this is sort of the same.... WE are not YOU. YOU should go with a color that YOU like... and asking us for how easy/hard it is to maintain the car is also assuming YOU and US maintain the car in the exact same manner.

I can't even tell you how many people (perhaps myself included) are not qualified to be a professional detailer, by virtue of poor washing/waxing technique, or have no understanding of how paint works on metal.

Black is a b*tch to keep clean..... that being said, when it is? *Swoon*

If you are looking for a lower maintenance color, I'd say white. I wanted white at first, then I saw the black. Oh well. I'm out there with spot detailer almost every day and a car cover at night/while raining. (I don't have a garage)

I have seen the blue and it looks sharp. I guess it really comes down to what you can live with for the 5, 10, forever years you plan on owning it. At least that's what I think.

Black.

Every girl I know drives either white or silver cars, making it an easy decision for me.

I knew that if I bought black the only thing I'd worry about is it being dirty (which honestly doesn't bother me). With white I knew I'd regret not buying black.

My advice is to buy the color you know you'll regret less. Either that or buy black regardless and vinyl wrap it later in whatever color you want.

I've seem both in the real world (not dealerships cause lets be honest...it looks different on the streets). I have to go with white. Just seems to have...cleaner lines...I dunno it's 1 am right now.

I vote for black, in addition to what everyone else had already said, black makes the car look more VIP.

White is great too, but it is not a true white. To me, the white looks more like a mixture of white and silver which was what shunned me away from it in the first place.

I have one and sometime depending on the light i think i bought a beige car, but i have seen the silver in it, and it looks best at dawn or dusk to me . You can see the pearl and if its clean and carnuba waxed it glows at those times which is fn awesome.

Black:
- cannot keep clean
- shows all the swirls
- tiny specks of water dry on the surface and make white water spots easily visible against the black paint
- gets hot on summer days
- pollen coats the car and turns it a light yellow
- road salt during winter (if you have winter) streaks the side of the car white

Go with white, or silver. There are more fun things to do than to obsessively detail your car every time there is a little rain.

Go with the dark grey! it looks AMAZING in person and it wont get AS dirty fast. I like the wire blue and the dark grey. White just doesnt stand out enough and black is hot and gets dirty.
