Only if you pay for PS+. Also, mine won't even download updates (or anything for that matter) while watching a bluray movie. A fact I found out 2 hours after starting 1GB game file only to check the progress at 2%.

The only thing I can guess is Sony releases their updates like Apple does, in one GIGANTIC huge file that replaces everything. Rather than a quick targeted patch. I have no idea to the inner workings of either, but even big full system updates happen 10 times faster on 360 for whatever reason, even under hard-line 30mbps connection.

lol, you guys want to complain about patch times.

Unpacked our new Wii U. It was ready to play about two hours later. Or, rather, it was ready to launch Mario. And then that had to patch too for another 15 minutes.
