Unless you've crunched a lot of shifts there is zero reason to replace the syncros on a car with so few miles on it.
If you do want someone to replace the syncros in a single gearbox, figure about $3000-$4000 since they have to remove the transmission from the car, then pretty much totally disassemble it. If you want someone to swap transmissions/clutches between two cars it'll be less labour, but a TOTAL waste of time/money for a car with 1500 miles on it. You're probably looking at at least a day of labour, probably more, and will probably have the guys at the shop laughing at you for even suggesting it. After all of this, if you ran into transmission issues on either car I bet you would be denied warranty as well.

Well, if you are leasing the car, doesn't that mean that its not yours?? So, that would be considered stealing... sooo... yea, stupid idea non the less.

Your garage queen would also be missing a quite sizeable amount of the original drivetrain. This would have a negative effect on the future value of your car if it stayed a super low mileage car -- how many times have you heard of "numbers matching" cars at collector auctions?

Uh it'd be cheaper to fix your trans than buying a "beater FRS"

Yeah it was an idea that just crossed my mind, not all ideas that i happen to have are bright ones as you can see. As far as crunches on the gearbox and what not, none just was thinking of having a new setup once again but, as its been said numerous times theres no point to it, ill cross this one of the many dumb ideas I've had out. Thanks guys!
