True, and not everyone chooses to use Facebook either as mentioned above. I have professional reasons I don't use it we won't get into here.

May I suggest if you are going to make it the default communications page you may want to make it public so it doesn't require a login?

I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes, and hopefully joining in on the festivities.

A simple webpage might also be possible. I am not great at making them...but i can try to throw something together if nobody else is willing/able...and i happen to have a friend with a server who can host the site for free..would just have to pay for the domain name.

It shouldn't require a login to simply view the Group page. If it is i'll start posting all the events on here as well. Have you heard about the No Love 4 Atlanta event on June 1st?

When I go to the link in the OP I get a message saying it requires me to log in to view the page.

On 6/1 there's a Indoor Car and Bike show at the Convention center. A few of us will be there. A couple competing in the show as well. Here's the link for more info.
