Disagree, the OEM wheels look like the car should only come in Asphalt, they're practically color matched.

The problem comes in when buying aftermarket wheels. Here are my feelings on the various wheel colors/styles on an Asphalt FRS. - Polished Aluminum looks great if you don't mind the "bling factor". - Black, looks the best out of all the colored wheels but only in certain styles. - White, Red, Blue, Yellow, or other primary color wheel looks damn awful and "cartoony". - Bronze can look good but only a few shades of very dark bronze look good and only in a few styles. - Gunmetal to Silver comes too close to matching the color of the car and it just doesn't look right. - Two tone such as black (or other dark color) with a polished ring. Just looks ridiculous on the Asphalt. - Gold or brass.... if you buy one of these, you have little concern about style anyway so moot point. Of course, this is only my taste and not meant to offend anyone. Scott

Asphalt over Raven. I think the car lacks its true shape in all black (typically) UNLESS you keep it 100% clean all the time which can be difficult since it is so dark. Asphalt on the other hand really accentuates its shape. It is dark, but not too dark and can provide great contrast with tinted windows, wheels, break calipers, etc. (if you are into strong contrasts on cars). Good luck! it took me a while to choose my color so I understand your dilemma.

@forzajuve has a point. I do think the Dark Grey shows the curves better during the day and at dusk it pretty much goes black so you get the best of both worlds. People ask me if my car is black all the time.

Asphalt. as owner of Raven FRS (and dont get me wrong i love it) but for this car color seems to in my opinion its projects the body lines. go and look at one (Raven) for yourself and then look at red white or orange And asphalt see if you feel the same.

I was originally set on getting an Asphalt, but when I got to the dealer they had an asphalt next to a Raven and I've never looked back since

Agreed. Although its still show the dirt, the metal flake really does better at hiding water spots and dirt than straight black. I had a black Vette before this. That solid black was definitely worse at showing everything.

For me, I choose asphalt over my original choice of whiteout after seeing both colors in person. I instantly fell in love with the mysterious look the dark grey color gave the car. My frs gets compliments on its color everywhere I stop. Not to mention the color is very versatile when upgrading wheels or if you wanted to add carbon bits. It's almost like having a silver car without being hard to paint match, and being a black car without all of the high maintenance, the best of both worlds IMO.
