slight deep dish looks nice on a good staggered setup but some are just WAY over the top.

I'm willing to bet you can get it down to the low +20s without much trouble. Reason being is the GReddy car, for one was running converted hubs. Second, the car was running little/close to the factory camber settings. Next, the tires were hardly stretched. Not to mention the car was on 19s and there was still a big gap between the tire and the fender line.

17x9 +15 up front w/ 215/40R17
18x9.5 +22 rear w/ 225/40R18s.....or 235s for people who have no balls and say that's too much stretch or not functional and blah blah blah

^^Easily attainable and will be done

i can see those sizes fitting the AS1. Question is some show car builders are looking for that 3+inch lip on their wheels, in that case some width might be sacrificed in favor of offset to fit under the stock fenderlines even if abit rolled, or maybe not.

I don't see why they would. Running a narrower wheel with lower offset won't change front spacing (ie. lip), only the back spacing. There's only so much distance between the hub face and the fender, the width and offset of a wheel can't change that.

maybe im too use to cars in the past with stock high offsets like many FWD with +40/50/60 offset, and people who want to run deep dish wheels sacrificing wheel width for more offset because of limited spacing and many wheels built back then with lots of dish also had lower offsets. So it was impossible to get away with a High offset wide deep dish wheel back then...not sure about now.

Yeah theres only so much distance from the hub, where the wheel disc will meet, to the fender line. Only thing that will increase the lip is running a lower offset. Wheel width, wont make a differance. Yeah, the offset will be different, but in the end, itll still have the same lip size.

For looks. I'm not advocating it, it's just purely nonfunctional.

I would for the use of drifting. Running 17s up front is better than running 18s. You're able to run a wide wheel, thus able to run a wider tire. To add to that, since they're 17s and not 18s, you'll still have more clearance for the wheel to get full lock without the worry of rubbing the fender well. ESPECIALLY WITH MODDED KNUCKLES.

Having the wider and taller tires up front helps with front end grip. Wide tires, 4 degrees negative camber, modded knuckles=stupid angle!

Being that it's a Subaru I don't think we'll be able to fit nice low offsets without some fender mods, camber, and stretch. I want to retain the stock tire size so I think a 17x9,17x9.5.18x9, or 18x9.5 would look sweet with a 215
