deep dish wheel offset

I was wondering how it may affect the car if I do a slight negative offset.

I'd imagine if it stayed within the fenders, a very slight negative offset won't affect performance too much.

something like this

To be honest it is going to be some measuring to see what will "look" and "fit" perfect

That's not a negative offset wheels.. less offset than stock, but definately doesn't look negative unless that hub portion is extremely deep..

It will take experimentation for the "flush"/"stance"/whatever guys to find whatever wheel offset will push the wheel out just enough so it doesn't stick out. If you don't stretch tires I'd guess you'd be looking at +30 just by eyeballing which is obviously extremely inaccurate. If you stretch tires (which IMO looks stupid) then probably +10-+15 I'd guess.

Time will tell though.

Although I doubt +15 will be within the fenders unless the wheels are 6" wide. Isn't the stock offset speculated to be around +48?

17x7 +48 is stock, with some saying it is 17x7.5

The optional 16" are 16x6.5

The Greddy car is running 18x9.5 +45, but the hubs were reportedly converted, so where the stock hub lies in proportion to the conversion is anyone's guess.

I've done some math on what will fit, but like others are saying, we won't know until we have a car to measure.

I think 17x8.5 +33 is going to give a nice flush look in the rear without stretching or extremes in any department. Front may be similar.

Well the flush/stretch tire crowd don't care if the wheel fully fits within the bodyline, as long as the tire doesn't rub... much.

They used spacers to adapt to 5x114.3, so the effective offset of those +45s was probably around +20-+25. They stuck out a bit based on the pics, hence the very stretched tires.

Local dealer told me June is a best case scenario but september is more likely (>_<)

I'm thinking immediately sandblast and clear coat the OEM rims and change the rubber to the new spec all year tire, then I'll have all winter to figure out measurements for the summer shoes! (^^,)
I sure won't be the first one experimenting!
...more like a "Post up your..." thread troller before I pull the trigger on wheels and suspension~

I like this idea for the stockers, I hate the black in them. They look like dirty wheels with brake dust when rolling.

Yeah, my comment was in agreement with your post to the OP. Basically stating that a negative offset wheel that is still within the fenders is pretty much out of the question if he wants a wheel that's as wide as stock with a deep dish.
