Shouldn't be that hard for police to run the DMV for all BRZ / FRS' registered in NJ and then pull up the drivers license for the registered owner until they have a match. They will more then likely be caught and no longer be able to afford their car if they are going around robbing places for money. Keep your eye out for a good deal on a used BRZ / FRS!

Had a friend that this happened to once. He was driving down the road minding his own business when two cop cars came running up on him, lights flashing and stopped him. Within seconds, he was then surrounded on 4 sides by 6 cop cars and 10 cops all with weapons drawn with a demand he get out of his car, very slowly...

Turned out his car, and he, matched the description of a guy who had just pulled a bank heist and had shot a cop. Fortunately the robber was like 5' 5" and my buddy was around 6' 7" tall. Once he got out of the car, the cops realized their mistake.

He never could get the smell out of his car...
