Wait, your avatar is a Scion logo though! I'd assume you'd be the last one to swap for Toyota badges!
![]() And completely de-badge the "FR-S" on the rear I suppose? |

Yes. That will be replaced by GT86 or 86 to match the 86 badge in the fender. I don't care who thinks that is ricerish because the car is the 86 underneath it all.

It actually, by the book, is mid-engined. Specifically FMR http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-engine_design It's quite irrelevant however. |

The engine is not placed behind the front axle in the FRS. Thus, it is not front mid-engined. If it was you better believe the weight distribution would not be 53/47.

I guess it really depends on where the COM lies for the motor assembly. It looks close to me, and I could swear this is not the only review that states FMR. At the end of the day, all that matters are the driving dynamics, which are going to be 100% FR. |

i think they just go by where the cog of the engine is and not the engine in its entirety, otherwise rr cars wouldnt exist. another thing, i dont think the 53/47 is really an issue. usually there is going to be in the car when its driving so that should help. that combined with the fact that you should be accelerating through the apices means that when the car is experiencing the most intense forces it should be closer 50/50

50:50 is marketing of the ideal distribution. Cars like the Miata and the RX-8 were not 50:50, more like 52:48 and 53:47 respectively. When the average car is 60:40, 53:47 is pretty good.

I would confidently Say that is IS. It's Defined as the Center of the Engine mass in relation to the wheel vertical center.
It's a matter of an inch or two (fore and aft) that classifies it either way. But i'd say Yes, it is
