I think that your observation about it only being less comfortable over really rough stuff and big hits is pretty indicative of a good damper. I've found that disregarding big hits, comfort is more dependent on damper quality and setup than spring rate, at least until you go to the extreme.

After a few months of testing this suspension setup we have completely fallen in love with it. The ride quality is very similar to stock and the car is quite comfortable to drive making this setup perfect for a daily driver. As expected, the only noticeable difference in comfort is found over large bumps and rough patches in the road however we found that for street driving, setting the dampers to their lower settings minimized the increased roughness of the Konis compared tot he OEM setup.

When you push the car in the turns, the fun really begins, much of the stock body roll is eliminated. The responsiveness of the car at turn in is astounding! The nimbleness that the car has in stock forum is not lost with this setup. The car can still be thrown around and controlled but is now even easier to control at the limit. Whether you are tracking, Auto X, or just hooning the car is simply more fun to drive, and much faster!

For anyone looking for a setup that looks great, performs great, and feels great this is the setup for you.
I foresee a trip to Cincy to get this setup (plus a little more) installed in my future.

This still in favor as a suspension choice after a couple more months on it. Planning to go this route shortly myself.

I had a set of these on my ms6 with a mild drop spring and it handled like a beast! If I find an extra set of oem struts this would be very tempting.

I have a thread out in the Classifieds that have had a few people with donor struts respond to it. I have a pending deal with someone already, so it's possible that a few of these others have donors available. You should check it out.

It might be worth it to start a thread in there where people can indicate that they have a set of struts or suspension available for conversion where people wanting to do this swap can go look for donors. At the time there were 3 WTB threads for donor struts.

I closed on a deal with another forum member on a set of front OEM dampers last night myself. Hopefully I'll be on a set of Koni Yellows & Eibach Pro-Kits before too long.

Can you PM me a price for this? I already have the RCE yellows on my car but I really don't want to go to the hassle of drilling/cutting the OEM housing myself.
Hopefully you still do this, (old thread!)

Just take your time and be careful with your measurements and you wont have a problem at all doing the fronts. No need to buy another set of dampers

I wish I had donors instead of cutting mine. That way I could easily just swap back and forth for winter. Lowered in snow no fun. I may look for front shocks and re-assemble the stock stuff.
