SH-AWD from Honda
as well as Evo's SAWC I consider better than Subaru's Awd system.

n/a rwd. i kind of hope there is not an awd option, honestly. and i don't want to live on a day-to-day basis with a turbo car. always making sure the oil is warm before boosting, timing before turning it off, worrying more about oil temps and condition, type of oil, etc...

I wouldn't think you need a turbo timer in today's turbo cars anymore.
Unless I'm mistaken and Japanese cars are still behind.
My german turbo cars that I've driven never needed turbo timers.

Driven Acura TL with SH-AWD... but IDK, felt bit heavy side.
For Evo's AYC & S-AWC are awesome... but seriously, it's never ending Subie vs Mitsu debates.

sorry, but the laws of physics/thermodynamics haven't been altered too much since the 80s and 90s...

turbos are still subjected to incredible amounts of heat, and even with all the water cooling that's prevalent in modern turbo designs, it still takes some time for the turbo to cool properly before you shut off the flow of oil.

this has nothing to do with origin country of vehicle, it's basic physics and common sense. you can not time if you want, but i'll go ahead and take care of my vehicles the best way i see fit.

Cars such as the Twin turbo 3.0 from BMW and the 2.0T from Audi/VW uses an auxiliary pump that pumps engine coolant through the turbo when you turn off your car.

i'm not that concerned with the coolant. it's the oil that worries me. even without the auxiliary pump, the coolant will still circulate through the turbo somewhat, so it's not that big of a deal.

if boosted I saw AWD with the STi spec 6 speed gear box w/ DCCD. Then we can run the center diff open and get more power to the rear but still have some front assist.

N/A.. HAS to be RWD.

one of each, best of both worlds, right tool for the job: DD and weekend track toy.

turbo rwd toyota and turbo awd subaru will both be in my garage hopefully sooner rather than later.

As for the other discussion about performance related AWD systems, the EVO's SAWC with all of its computer aided nannies can make any jackass look like sebastian loeb but the subie somewhat nose heavy symetrical AWD system requires a little more driver skill.
