I'm pretty sure there are dealers in this forum...I believe in the classifieds of Canada and the Commercial Classifieds has dealers promoting cars they currently have stock of.

I would think it is worth a try?

So I wanted a BRZ or an FR-S back in October and did some calling around.... Everywhere in the GTA was 6-8 month wait list (FR-S was less). I didn't want to wait that long so I called some of the dealerships outside the GTA.... Found an unclaimed FR-S in Guelph that was arriving in a week and found a BRZ in Hamilton that was just sitting there as someone had backed out.

Either I was really lucky or had a smart idea to look to dealers where sports cars wouldn't be a top sell..... I was in my BRZ within a week, no wait time, no excess prices.

Those of you looking for one, I would suggest calling to smaller cites/areas and taking the drive outside of Toronto.

When I ask if they have one to test drive I am told no, followed by even if we did have one we wouldn't let you drive it after a previous car was damaged on a test drive.

So this is a dealer I will perhaps use for an accessory purchase but not much else. Even if I do end up with the FRS it will go for regular service to Clarington and warranty probably back to DVN.

But.. I am seriously thinking of cancelling my order with DVN and grabbing a BRZ Sport Tech instead. Probably lose my deposit with DVN though.

Cancelling your FRS and order a BRZ now, you wont be driving until middle of the summer.

I thought he said the one in Barrie is the one in the show room for show only? That's for sale?

Jacksons Toyota Scion of Barrie has 2 silver MT FR-S as well in stock. Or at least they di when I was in Last week servicing my wifes car.

No it is for sale, the dealer even offered to take a deposit and sit on the car for me until I am ready...

Well if the dealers are being honest with me, there are quite a few cars arriving in March and April that are not spoken for at the moment and I could secure one of them this weekend.

There are 3 FR-S's available in Guelph. Two manuals, one black, one blue, and a black auto as well.

From all the responses so far from subaru dealers there are at least 6-10 cars (sport tech MT) coming in time for spring that aren't spoken for.

^Interesting. But at this point I am going to wait to see the 2014 specs before pulling the trigger....
