Yes, the steering is heavier, cant say its in a bad way, but if you like the native frisky nature of the OE steering its partly because of the tires that come with the car. Its hard for me to answer you and separate the effects of caster from the effects of now running a 100TW tire instead of the 200TW star specs in softer compound and wider.

I am not 100% sure if these 'feel' better or if the non offset 'feel' better, its subjective to an extent but that may be a neat experiment. I can always put the PSRS non offset on the other car and swap the lca's over to mine to see what I think when its put into my setup.

Feedback is more, if 5 is stock then now we have 7.5. Ideal for a daily driver on cross country trips? nope, I think I;d go poly or something not solid. Great for track and DE, for sure, yes.

Thanks for the reply.
Personally I see the heavier weight of the wheel as a positive change, and as always more feedback is always a good thing.

I had to add my own comments to what is a very old thread.

Just got these installed a couple of days ago and I am pleased with such a huge difference they have made to the car! I am amazed that these aren't on everyone's must-have list (well at least the whiteline polyurethane bushings due to some cons I will discuss later).

Turn-in is crisp and positive; there is simply loads more grip and it now feels like the front end gets sucked into the corner. There is a fair bit more heft to the steering but FT86's steering is already very linear and with these bushings it loads up so progressively. The additional feedback through the steering makes the car feel like putty in my hands. For some reason the car also doesn't follow the camber of the road as much, which is a bonus.

The bushings allow for easier brake modulation because it takes away most of the nose dive that comes with hard deceleration. Brake pedal feel has also improved tremendously - almost twice as much as any improvement I noticed with the master cylinder brace installed.

Are there any cons? Sure. It DOES add a fair bit more NVH. Noise not so much but the additional vibration is definitely noticeable. Going through patchy surfaces you can feel almost all smaller nooks and crannies on the road (which I actually appreciate). Large potholes and road expansion joints or seams on the other hand sometimes send unpleasantly hard jolts up the front struts and through the chassis. Granted, I am running on aftermarket coilovers and if my car still had stock suspension these would be more bearable or at least less noticeable.

The increase in NVH does not phase me too much however and it's something I can live with. (I'll just drive around those big potholes, damn it!) These are fantastic and it makes the driving experience so much more rewarding and multi-dimensional than before.

I have so much faith in Perrin products now that next month I will be purchasing their motor mounts
