Yes. I think it has a little to do with what Bristlecom is saying as well, the system is set up to be run at "high pressure" so it won't run without priming. It seems like everyone is reporting that it starts fine within a minute or two so it really isn't an issue, just people flipping out about a little quirk in the system.

My truck does something similar and it's 20+ years old and fuel injected, actually same with every car I've driven (80's-'09) so I don't think this is "new".

If you have to pump the gas pedal to start there's something going on that needs to be looked into. I don't know of any users manual for a production vehicle that advises pumping the gas to start the car, I'd love to see one but this isn't the place.

Just had my 3rd hard start in two months of ownership. The first and this time was accompanied by fairly bad exhaust smell. Don't think it's cold temp as it hasn't gone below 70F here. I'm going to mention it once I make appointment for chirp and odd idle and to turn off drl.

I've had the same thing happen 3 or 4 times over 10,000 kms. It has push button start.

just wanted to revive this thread, is everyone using 0w-20? it started happening to me when i switched to 5w-20. I have 2000Km and its happened twice
