The Focus only had one day of testing because they lost/broke the key fob. If they would have had another day, it would have been faster they said.

i am willing to bet that the st has an issue with the virtual diff and computer based tq limiting. id like to see how this car turns out with a mechanical diff and maybe a tune. i love this test for what it is but we have to wait and see when it comes to gauging a cars potential. |

I was very impressed with how the BRZ finished. Looking over the cars that it beat out from previous lap times was surprising. I'm looking your way 08 STI.

i think its more of the sti being garbage than the brz being a beast though. iirc the 2012 v6 mustang beasts the sti of the same vintage even with its lap time being set while it was on the speed governor for 9 seconds.

Yeah the Stang V6 PP rules LL1. But I am impressed with the ZL1 and the SS1LE. I thought 95% of people on this forum said heavy cars can't handle for shit?

I was impressed with other things too though. The BRZ did even beat out the M6 and came quite close to the M5 in several corners. I know they are boats but, even still, it keeps me entertained.

VIR has like a mile and a half of straightaways, definitely not a place for a good showing in the BRZ.
On the list I found the only car with less HP than the BRZ in the entire list was the Elise. |

I'd like to see the ZL1 and GT500 lap again. I have a feeling they weren't pushing the GT500 to the edge. The ZL1 is the easier car to drive but the GT500 is much more rewarding. On a large track it should have been a slight advantage for the Shelby. The 2011 GT500 had a faster Lightning Lap than both cars so something is screwy.
Impressive run for the BRZ. Good thing I didn't pickup a Focus ST. Last edited by LIKEABOSS; 01-05-2013 at 03:18 AM. |
