Just a question guys. How could u prevent corrosion from occurring on the areas you have to drill for the side skirts. Would it be ok without doing anything?
Thanks |

I plan to install next weekend (I'm on vacation). I'm planning to use a sealant (like locktite) if I have to drill holes. I don't know if there's a logical place or method to mount. They sit flush but I haven't looked underneath yet.

I'm lowered, but I can't imagine lips or anything on this car lasting long, my front bumper is super duper beat up. In and out of parking lots I often time scrape under the middle of the car.

I got the Side Skirts on order, should be delivered tomorrow or next week. As soon as I install them, I will post pics. I already have the ht Auto front lip and rear spats on, so this will complete the kit. I am planning on using double sided 3m tap and self taping screws if I cant find a better mounting solution.

Which part? Both have the fastener pieces to use as well as bolts to connect in the other holes. The rear spats dont need the center one, but I put it on anyway. The front lip however I would bolt it up completely. Since this tends to scrap and scratch on the ground and will be prone to rip off it its not secured. I ended up riveting the front lip to my bumper and its rock solid.

Anyone else install the side skirts? I won't have time until next weekend.

I've just bought the same kit, front lip and side skirts from the same company, apparently they are down the street from me, but from the sound of it they don't have experience on installing this yet, but he told me the pic is from one of their customers, so I will try to talk to him and see how he installed his.
now what i see from the initial quick peek at the side skirts, i looked up the bottom of the side panel of my brz, i see 5-6 spots where it seem like rubber gromet has been placed where it suppose to have a hole there, but it is much larger than the screws which the skirts came with, and those screw look like self-fasten screws, I am not sure if those holes on the skirt matches the holes to the rubber gormet, but if they do I won't be able to screw on to it, since it won't fasten to soft plastic, but if not i guess it would require me to fasten those screw right onto the panel, which means they drill into it. let me know what you observed on this, I believe the front lip should be easy, just use bolt and nut set which BaysonR provided, but will confirm this weekend. update you guys soon. |

After long comms with HT Auto and based on the dimensions of the GT86 lip, which is 35mm thick, it would be ripped off after the first speed hump I go over.
So ordered he Evasive force DF CF front lip, Bayson R sides and HT Auto Spats. Best and cheapest option I could find to meet the height requirements. I will wrap the sides and spats in 3M Dinoc CF to match the DF lip. |

It will stay on without any screws? Sounds risky.
3M tape is good, but not that strong I think!? |
