I just cleaned it and wiped the gaps down with isopropyl alcohol, then I heated up the tape/parts with a blow dryer and pushed/held it together. The gaps got a little better since then but some places are set on gapping. I'm assuming it's the cold that's compromising the tape.

I wonder If there is an adhesive better suited for this environment. I fear the thing will fly off.
