The first mistake was selling this as a scion but I am over that. We have yet to see the scion version so we don't know if it won't have any 86 logos on it.

For all we know the scion version might have a different front like the BRZ does.

You will get good money off of off eBay for them!

There are some good lightweight 18 inch rims out there....expensive but nice..
I plan on pulling them off imediately. I'll likely have new 17s here before I pickup the car so literally they'll have ~30 miles on them from the drive home. You can't imagine the level of disinterest I have in having 18" wheels

If 16s had a good tire size for street tires that would be close to the overall diameter and cleared the stock brakes the car would have 16s on it instead.

I doubt I'll get good money for them, they are stupidly heavy OEM cast 18" wheels with crap tires (per the web specs).

Nah, you were fine. I deleted it, trying to keep all my bullshit in its relevant thread. Hard to keep up with it all.

Saw some pics 7tune posted on facebook of what looks like a launch party or something. Car is looking good but its begging for a good wheel/suspension setup. Curious on how the TRD enhancements look in person because Im definetly not feeling the spolier they showed so far, kinda want the subbie looking one. ><

I just pray it doesn't get badged as Celica in Australia, otherwise I'd be shattered.

*fingers crossed* for "86"

Oh come on, the Celica wasn't that bad. It was only the seventh generation that they finally screwed up the Celica name. I'd be happy with a ST205 GT4 any day.

Also... Look familiar?

Great find!

And why are there 4 other threads about this same post? Wtf. Everyone's all giddy to try and get front page or what?

Not necessarily. I know it's been a long time, but thinking back to the original AE86, Australia had a different name compared to the rest of the world. We had the Toyota Sprinter. Wasn't a Corolla, just flat out Sprinter. Mind you, it was a horrid 4A-C with T50 gearbox, and an S series rear axle.

51 inches tall...

Taller, wider, and longer than an S2000. But still lighter!
