Funny story.... A buddy of mine who owns a pizza shop had his HIGHLY modified Supra in the parking lot when a customer drives into the parking lot in a ZR1, parks it, walks into the pizzeria and says "Who owns that shiny silver Subaru out there?". My buddy says, "It's not a Subaru, it's a Supra and it's mine". The guy says, "think it's fast?" My buddy says, "it's faster than your car". The funny thing about that was my buddy had no idea what kind of car the guy was driving at this point in the conversation.

Anyway, after some bickering back and forth, they agreed to a street race that night for a thousand bucks, winner takes the cash. The ZR1 was brand new, so we assumed it was stock and the guy was just a loudmouth because he had a fast factory car. What he didn't realize is that the Supra puts down almost 600 hp to the rear wheels, and that's without the spray. Needless to say, my buddy made an easy grand that night.

Heh... the guys didn't even give me a chance to respond, they zipped by so fast. Had they hung around, I woulda told them I LOVED my Subaru, and recommend they get one. After I was done laughing, that is. Really, I wish I had video, because the way they said, "Subaru", they really did mean it as an insult. My guess is someone's lost a few too many red-light showdowns with STi's, and was looking for someone to take it out on. Sad, really... oh well.
