A truck with these stupid, blue HIDs was behind me today on my way home from work, blinding me the whole way.

Word. Got 55w 6000k ddm and it was a bit too blue for me. Gonna swap for 5000k. 4300k has yellow tint to them.

Take out those stupid HIDS and throw them in the garbage.
Then order up a set of H9 bulbs(roughly $12.00 ea) for your low beam and a set of HIR1 (9011) bulbs (roughly $45.00 ea) for your high beam. You will actually have better visibility due to the fact you have a proper beam pattern and you won't piss off every other driving on the road. These lights are designed with identical physical specifications to the OEM fitment but with much greater light output. Not to mention they're NOT blue. Note: Very light modifications are required to make these fit. This can be done in 5 minutes with a utility knife. Google H11 to H9 conversion and 9005 to 9011 conversion.

Had 8k on my last truck and loved them. Liked them so much that I installed them as brights too. That way when someone gave me the brights they had double the pleasure in return. Customize the piss out of it and call it yours!

Let's see the switchback LEDs you mentioned. I've got some on order.

Here, the cops actually impound the car for "impersonating a police vehicle". Blue lights of any sort are forbidden. You could be in for a world of hassle depending on the cop you get.

If you want a good visibility without annoying the road users at night, the 4000k-5000 are the best choices

That's like 30000k. For off-road use only.

Anything remotely beyond 5000k actually reduces visibility.

Furthermore, you're just pissing off other drivers.

Just because it LOOKS brighter doesn't mean that it is. Ever seen an LED flashlight? If you look right at it, it's bright as hell... if you actually use it to walk around in the dark you notice pretty fast how poorly they illuminate things.

Furthermore, I'm pretty sure almost everyone equates those lights with cheap ebay honda civic "tuners" and ghetto car modding.
