Oh, and I'd wait - well worth the $1000.
You gotta be a member of Costco

Update! Update!
The second dealer, which is in-state, has agreed to slash the price by $500 below MSRP and the car is available now. The question is, is the $500 worth the wait for the other car which is out-of-state but only 20 miles away? Or take this local offer plus I get life of the vehicle safety inspection, life of the vehicle emission inspection, free loaner car, free scheduled first oil change.
The only thing I see different is the inspections but other than that, they are equal to me. I'm still leaning towards the $1000 discount. What would you guys do? Decisions, decisions.

$500 would be bordline for me. I never purchased anything out of state, so in state sounds less of a hassle. I think I would get the local now.

Same. At this point I'd say check out your DMV situation; the hassle (and extra fees) you're spared with an in-state purchase could be worth the $500 alone.

Out of state in this region isn't a hassle. All the dealers around the DC/Maryland/Virginia deal with all three Motor Vehicle Bureaus.

I'd just get the local one now. You'll need the inspections every year, and the free loaner car can be a huge plus.

Plus, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

$1,000 goes a long way in this current economy... Of course, I'd wait.
