Is $1000 worth the one month wait?
I'm talking to 2 dealers right now and the first one sells the car for MSRP and with $389 doc fee and the car is availble now while the second dealer will discount the car by $800 through Costco program and will only charge $200 for doc fees but the car is in transit and is due to arrive 4 weeks from now. I'm now trying to talk to the first dealer if they can match it and see what happens and if not, I think the $1000 discount is worth the wait.
Hmmm.... Let me see what can I spend the $1000 for... |
Yes, I would wait.
same color and options? Go with the one that you would prefer more. I wouldn't let price be as big of a negotiator as teh actual options on the cars, unless they are the same
Same color, same everything that I want
I'd wait a month to save $1,000.
i'd wait then imo
Gee, and the dealers around here are tacking on a $3k markup grrrrr...
More info on said Costco program please; what is it? Oh, and I'd wait - well worth the $1000. |
Up to you.
If you have 1k to spare yes. If you don't no. Also note it's october, when you get your car it'll be november. If you have winter than you lose a month, but that $1k can go into coils/tires. Up to you. |
I would wait as well.
I would wait, but then again I've been waiting for SIX months for the one I requested. Hope Costco can deliver the car when they say they can, unlike my dealer.
Wait.!:paddle:
I would wait.

FYI on the Costco thing, if you have http://www.buyersedgeinc.com/ as a company perk or access to it some other way, it works similar and will get a good price with participating dealers. I used it on my mustang and it saved about another k after my previous negotiating.
Definitely worth waiting a month.
