Yea, it's the original fork. And it should be the original clutch. Except that when the first TOB blew I ordered the stage one kit from Exedy. The original clutch was fine but I replaced it anyway. The last time I changed the TOB I did the snout also. It still looks ok. I think I'll just polish it and reuse it. This time I'll grease the crap out of it though. I think that's what caused the failure of the fork. The TOB was binding on the snout. There's plastic powder all over the snout. I think maybe one of the clips let loose that caused everything.

This is unbelievable.
I ordered the parts I need. I got the fork, pivot, clips and TOB.
Now I can't find any oil. I'm looking for Motul Gear 300 75W90 because that's what I use. I found some in Italy and in Canada. And the shipping cost more than the oil. Maybe I'll switch to Redline. Or is there something wrong with Valvoline? It costs about 10 times less.

Anything that fits factory spec is fine. I like Mt90. I know others that swear by Valvoline.

Here's my snout. I cleaned it but haven't polished it yet. I think some 2000 grit should take care of the minor scratches.

Well, this is making me lean in a direction on my Verus fork vs snout sleeve issue...

I may have a snout sleeve kit available soon...

Edit, I really need to read the whole thread before posting...

Amsoil manual transmission and transaxle gear lube is what I use. I am quite happy with it and it seems to be available.

Here is mine before cleaning as another point. Yes, I know there's a lot of grease and clutch stuff...

I wonder about the wisdom of too much grease on the snout. In the bell housing, fine dust from the clutch disc is whirling around and getting impregnated in that grease eventually making it more of an adhesive than lubricant. IMHO grease on the snout will cause premature failure.

Good point about the grease.
As far as the oil goes, I think I'll just go to Walmart and buy the cheapest GL4 75w90 oil they have. That's what I do for motor oil. I get the cheapest full synthetic 0-20 they have. Or I'll get Amazon oil if it's on sale. I think people way overthink oil. I find it hard to believe the difference people think different oil brands make. I'll bet Motul buys it's bulk oil from Pennzoil and relabels it at 3 times the cost.
Oil is oil.
Gas is gas.

And isn't it something that the transmission takes 2.2 liters of oil and is sold in quart containers.
