You're the one who will pick neither the Supra nor the 86 if money weren't an option, aren't you? Using the bolt cutters and another hammer...

I know someone who could fix this with 3 or 4 rolls of painter's tape, no reading or tools required

but as tcoat pointed out, removing the handle doesn't really disable it. in order to disable a hammer, one would need to section the metal hammer head into at least 4 parts to reduce the overall mass to individual amounts that couldn't amount to anything. 2 would be possible to continue using, as it would leave a typical 20oz hammer with two hunks of 10oz of mass.

i also said early on in that thread that i picked the 86 over an r35 gt-r specifically for it's driving dynamics, but that's really not the topic of this thread...

So what you are saying is you can't disable a hammer with a pair of bolt cutters and another hammer?

I am laughing because that was the challenge... no matter how many times you break down a hammer.... it's still a hammer. Not theoretically either. it will actually still function as a hammer.

I rushed to buy a Gen 1 specifically because those "safety" features were inevitably coming.

If you put enough force behind a single grain of sand it'll drive a nail.

I don't really get the hate about the blind spot monitor. I have the mirrors adjusted correctly (so there's no actual blind spot) but it still doesn't bother me in the slightest to have an additional system that verifies for me what I already knew.

But I've always been a belt and suspenders (figuratively, not literally) kind of guy so to each their own.

Without legs, I'm still me but I'm disabled. The challenge was to disable, not transform the hammer.

You are not disabled. You just can’t walk. The hammer will still hammer
