A header and tune makes a fair amount of difference, especially in the midrange.

E85 will double the gain from header/tune.

Your thoughts appreciated. Truly, I want extra pickup but I am not out to race or anything like that. My biggest concern is merging on to the highway from a dead stop. I really do need that extra kick into speed for merging, as I do it often and it really stresses me out that my stock frs doesn't pick up as nicely as I want it to.

So for that reason, I am willing to tune + header + N1 if need be, but just wanted some opinions from others who had this setup as well, and what your thoughts on it would be.

Staying NA your options are somewhat limited as far as power gains go. You can maximize gains by a header, tune, and E85 (if easily accessible). Get an OFT tablet and work with Steve99 after installing your mods.

As far as headers go, there isn't a bad choice tbh, some people get Borla, TOMEI, ACE, JDL, Borla, HKS, there's basically a ton of options as far as manufacturers go. You can go EL or UEL, there's very little difference between the two when staying NA.
Exhaust, is all about noise and what you can withstand over a long period, and more important, your neighbors or local law enforcement. Components that are okay to have are Over-pipes and Front Pipe, not entirely necessary, just nice to have if you feel like burning extra money, again, staying NA. I highly, HIGHLY recommend staying as far away from the N1 as possible, it is too loud and the drone will drive you insane.

Don't waste your time with CAIs, or SRIs, get a K&N filter and Inlet tube from Perrin and call it a day.
