What is the sacrificial ritual to get the attention of admins?
You gotta sacrifice your first chicken nugget lol

Joke a side, recommend PM the admin or Post it in Site Announcements / Questions / Issues to get both admins attention.

LMAO Admin is nice guy. As long as you have common sense and respectful, he'll do the same. Just 99% of the time member summon the admin, they're crazy angry about something, calling names and disrespectful to him. When that happen, even I will ban hammer that member (which I've done before).

So keep those 2 rules, you'll be fine.

I wonder if the oiling issues will be any better given that it’s still a FA derivative

Seems like whenever a manufacturer makes aftermarket connecting rods for the FA20, the make them pretty robust. I wonder if Subaru took some cues from this and reinforced their rods?

Yes, this information has been posted several times across a few threads. The new rods are reinforced and are also now fully horizontal.

EDIT: It's getting a little trickier to find. But here is one thread where it is discussed. Post #25 to be particular.

Is there any info on intake manifold. I hope its the same width and size, so our FA20 superchargers can be retro fitted

There's just no chance of that at all. The intake manifold in the new gen is most certainly larger.

Why though?

If the bore has got larger and stroke remains 86 mm. I don't see it as a physically larger block needing a larger intake?

The cylinder vacuum will pull in more air.

I guess I would have thought the block is necessary to become a little larger from the bore change. In any case, it seems to be partially covered in the article posted by the OP in this thread.

https://motor-fan.jp/mf/article/1636/

"the intake port is made thicker and shorter. And it can be taken to the specification in the direction of sucking more air, so it is possible to increase the output in the high rpm range."
