I have only let off the gas after I switched it to second. I also manually switch gears here so at 7k rpm that shift is normal.

About loss of traction:
If it loses traction, I should see the traction light right?
Also, stuttering isn't the way this car corrects loss of traction, rather it is more like a smooth loss of power and brakes applied.
