Slots are just oval shaped larger lower mount holes in some of aftermarket, or DIY dremeled in stock (or other not slotted) shocks. Lower mount holes, ones that are at hub, ones where camberbolts are used.
Slots, by essence simply being larger then stock bolt holes on shock, are not to prevent movement, but for opposite, to allow movement/adjustment of untightened mount bolt to sides, allowing skewing wheel hub/wheel itself for camber adjustment. Camberbolts (and crashbolts) do it similar way but via being smaller then even stock (lower mount) hole diameter, for same reason, to get that play to allow adjustment.
Properly tightened camberbolts, especially if one uses some hacks to increase friction, eg. some loctite or nail polish or paint, are secure enough. If there will be strong enough hit to move them, most probably it will be disastrous enough to also bend/break something in suspension. Not worth to be too paranoid on camberbolt usage. Well, maybe for very strongest hits like in rally after few meters high jumps camberbolts won't stand, but then again in properly prepped rally cars with proper rally suspension there are slotted shocks with offset inserts, but for normal DD used car or tracked on tarmac tracks camberbolts worked fine for many people.

My T2's came slotted which was nice. The shop maxed camber at the knuckle first before adjusting the hats. I have hammered curbing on track and not had them slip. The if-they-ever-come-out Xida's have inserts to adjust the camber at the knuckle.
