Also, if old pads were worn down a lot, you may need to press in pistons a bit, and check after changing pad (and pressing in piston) on each corner brake fluid level. Thicker pad -> deeper pushed pistons for pad to fit in -> fluid level will rise. After 2nd-3rd-4th pad there is possibility for fluid to overflow (if it had been topped to normal level with old, thinner pads), if you don't remove excess fluid with eg. syringe.

This clears everything up thank you so much. Just to confirm, I can just save the backplates from my old pads right? Would there be any noise reduction benefit if I were to reuse them?

Obviously you can save them, but not sure you'll be able to reuse on pads not meant for such. BTW, also suggesting to visit DIY forum subsection on brake change or watch some vids on youtube, if you are going to change yourself. For example, i'd also think of cleaning some grime/dust from caliper, so that pad moves more freely, and relube slider pin guides during pad change.

I am currently still waiting on my typ200 brake fluid + stainless steel lines to arrive before I install the pads. I will keep you all updated.
