Any car that's cheap and fast is going to attract the young and the reckless.

It's only going to get worse, these car are cheap to buy, more and more kids are buying these 2nd hand and modifying them "stance style".
I have noticed the change from nice rims, exhaust, tune and tint to widebody kits and/or stupid camber, straight thru exhausts with pop and bang tunes. The police are having a field day defecting them though, which is good, it's not like they are built to handle well on the street, it amazes me the lengths people go to, and the cash they spend, to fuck up the cars handling. Another good thing is there are always lots of parts from bent cars available at the local motor wreckers, alot of these kids keep backing the twins into poles, guard rails, ditches, etc. etc. Usually to the call of "it wasn't my fault".

Maybe Canadian cops would be taken more seriously if they didn't dress like bloody halfwit Prince Charles.

I'm afraid it's not just cheap cars that attract 'goofy' drivers.. I live in a real hot spot, well endowed supercars roam the streets and their drivers feel obliged to leave their scents (burn outs, donuts etc). I'm sure that these guys hold down responsible businesses and hold key roles in the community but let loose behind the wheel of their cars.. this then informs the younger drivers who are busy "upgrading" their cars to emulate their role models... So I hear VWs, Renaults and fast Fords spluttering and spitting fire down on our busy high street..
