I think your best course of action is a nice long weekly drive, and if you'd be able to combine a block heater with an OEM Forester XT oil cooler, (a heat exchanger that will warm up your oil faster,) you'll optimize your situation.

The block heater is a really good idea, but given you don't have access to plug in power outside, I would at minimum get the heat exchanger.
