Other than the wheels and the header the car is basically stock. The only thing that will really change the way it drives would be the wheels and header. But someone brought up tuning. If the car is not on the stock tune then issues will arise.

I'd say pass. If the car didnt have the UEL headers then it would be a good buy

You know what they say about opinions... Usually modded cars go for less for that entire reason. If he could pick the car up for cheap, it wouldn't be a bad buy.

I can understand wanting to experience it stock, but not modding it...the car was designed to be modded. Hell, they gave pre-production units to companies to make aftermarket parts for it. Why would getting an AMG when you're older mean you can't mod this car? It's kinda like my friend saying he needs 4 doors because he might have a kid, even though he's single now. He might as well get the minivan now if that's how he wants to be prepared for what might happen.

Cars aren't financial investments, they're necessities that can be investments in your enjoyment.

They don't break or get beat up like factory? Factory stuff isn't urethane like some of the knock offs.

Definitely wait for stock. Given they have a catless header (no catalytic converter), that probably means they tuned it as well, which means that god knows what could be wrong with the engine.

I also suggest wait for stock. You will pay for the tuned vehicle price + stock parts price, then almost same price as new one...

Agree with the others. This is a very special car. It should be personalized to your preferences. So start from a clean slate; get an unmolested car. You can go from there to wherever you want. I am not saying that car is in bad shape but without experiencing the stock header, for example, you can never know if you wanted to have a UEL header. You might want to go straight to a supercharger with the stock header. Owning a twin, IMHO, is a unique experience and I highly recommend starting from the first square
