The battery fit but the hood would'nt close, and I thought u needed the battery to get it going.

Can't speak for him and he retracted the story anyway but in the case of my friends Maverick we had two cars to move one only one battery. Since we had stated one and ran it for a few minutes with the cables bolted together with no issues we figured we could drive it the few miles with no problem. What we failed to consider was bumps while actually moving. Wires touched the body and up she went.
