Does firm hammering the reverse lockout pin damage the tranny shift fork or any other component in the tranny? I already done mine by putting it in reverse then hammered the PITA out but am worried if it can cause wear with the transmission.
Please advise. Thank you!

Hmm, according to this video, hammering done in 3rd, with puncher left in put in reverse for lockout to not drop down, then remove lockout.

No clue if something can be damaged, didn't felt any bad changes when shifting in mine. I guess there might be option of putting something behind dash & shifter, if it scares you. |
