Where'd you buy all of these parts?

Most interested in the knob.

Second question, how does the shift knob feel compared to the regular stock one? Is the texture any different / grippier?

It feels nicer than the stock one because it gets rid of the stitching and glossy cap that felt a bit uncomfortable. Also grip is better.

Real nice work. I love upgraded interiors. How is the quality of the AC knobs are they a solid metal or plastic ?
Here is a pic of mine most recently

It's cool to see other people using spray dye. I used black dye on all the red stitch.

Your interior looks nice. I like the knob bezels.

The AC covers are metal but I wish they would sit more flush with the knobs. 7/10 rating from me.
Thanks

so how are the knobs mounted, is there double side tape on the backside? If so maybe removing the thickness of the tape and using a glue would get it to sit closer.

Here's one of my favorite updates: Custom Design Gauge Faces.
They looks simple, but a lot of thought went into them. I tried to keep the design as minimalist as possible with highlights only on the rev tach.
It's like a Remix version of the FR-S stock one .
Also custom painted the Stork needle caps with a dark tint over the metal and center ring to match.

Funny thing is that I used a combination of translucent paint and clear that created a rainbow effect on the surface depending on the angle that light hits it, which wasn't intended to be, but came out really nice.

Night Operation

I don't know anything about photography and lightning so these pictures really don't do justice.

these are awesome. I bought the knurled aluminium ones but because I have a carbon climate control panel cover in place, they don't fit. How snug are these? I literally have like maybe 1-2 mm of room around the knobs.

Steering wheel badge Version 2.0

Not very pleased with the way my previous custom badge turned out, I decided to start over.

After some research I found the Toyota Hub Cap 2994 had a detachable "T" logo with similar dimensions of our Scion steering wheel badge, instead of the oversized "T" that most people use.

Cut the Scion badge and fitted this one inside

Found a piece of leather with similar pattern used in the cover.

Painted the ring flat black and the logo black chrome with a satin finish. And here's the finished product:

Not OEM quality but I can live with it.

Ordered the JDM Toyota 86 red shift knob on ebay. Shipped from Japan. Surprisingly came in a Subaru box with a part number that is not listed anywhere. The quality is exactly the same as my stock knob so I doubt it's a counterfeited part. Anyway, this should match my new leather seats nicely .

Well, after six months of adding some color to my seats they have degraded into plain fugly:

I was already planning on doing leather seats at a later stage anyway, but it became a priority.
