Difficult to imagine how any tune would effect the actual supercharger. Its external to engine, no fuel goes through it. Would think damage would be a result of lack of oil in sc or lack of maintainance or incorrect oil in sc, belt too tight causing excessive loads on bearings. Maybe foriegn object or something damaging seals and oil leaked out. Sc overreved due to small a pully, or dirt ingress due lack of air filtering or similar.

Lack of maintenance or incorrect oil in sc: Correct SX150 oil used; Rotrex units don't have maintenance as they are un-repairable; all pulleys, filter, and fluid were replaced upon install.

Belt too tight causing excessive loads on bearings: If the belt was too tight I would be surprised as I follow the 70hz and belt 1/2 turn instruction by Kraftwerks.

Maybe foreign object or something damaging seals and oil leaked out: Didn't see anything that would hold up this theory.

Sc over-revved due to small a pulley: I was using the 95mm pulley with 7.3k redline, this is within spec for the pulley and SC.

Dirt ingress due lack of air filtering: If that's the case I couldn't have stopped it, filter looked fresh still when I pulled it.

IMO I'm not sure what caused it to fail but I didn't rush through the install or skip any steps.

Hsha,

I wasnt suggesting that you did any of those, just thst they may be posdible causes and that the tune would not .
