Hmm well I should be good then because I am buying a manual.

I used to drive automatics but I forget how/ I don't know if I can learn how to. Lmao that's what I tell my girlfriend when she wants me to drive her car, that if she refuses to learn stick I refuse to learn automatic

Yes, there were a little over 10,000 Saabarus in total and most of them were the linear N/A model. The unicorns are the 5 speed manual Aero (turbo models) mine is pretty much a cooler looking Impreza wagon. Obviously the Aero models command a premium but most have high miles, rust, one their 3rd or 4th owners etc.

As for the PPI on the Scion, it checked out well, only things car needs is new tires and battery so I am going to have them include a new set of either Continental DWS 06 or Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s and a new battery for the price we agreed on.

Still has factory tires and battery the story goes it was traded in for an Acura MDX to be a better family car. His loss, my gain

I got the service history of the vehicle and they said that the fuel pump was replaced because of the crickets already. No outstanding recalls

are autos really dropping that much faster than MT? or is it simply the demand for MTs?

I'm not sure of the price of automatics because I usually filter to manual only anytime I go car shopping.

I've been shopping FRS around DC for a few months, following all the used car websites and the AT are definitely cheaper here. I finally settled on a 14 MT with 11k miles for $19.2k. It even had TRD CAI and exhaust from the original sale and is CPO so I'm pretty happy.

The deals are out there and the AT's are definitely going for less.

Oh, and I can't tell you how many crappy un-mod jobs I looked at or paint over sprayed fender liners, etc. Check the Carfax!

I bought my frs for 15700 cad without taxes and everything. (With that and finance it was 21 grand CAD)
At first I was looking at 2 frses and a brz. Brz had a lot of mileage but I liked the brz more.the 2 frses were stock and no accidents which is what I wanted. At first, didn't like the one I ended up buying. It had injen intake a wrapped carbon fibre hood and smoked out tails.
I went it go test drive it for fun. I wasn't being serious but in person, it made me stare at it for a while. It was for 17999 CAD. Being picky, I called out every single thing that wasn't perfect. I really pissed off the sales guy from Toyota. Was able to lower it to 15700. At first he didn't want to change my tail lights but because of ontarios safety test, it failed. So they had to put new tail lights on it.
If I was you. I'd look around see if there is anything else but the deal you have is pretty good. Check tires, ask about the service history, ask for car proof, check the interior (if the red part of the seat is worn out. Look under the front bumper and see if there are any scratches on the bottom of the bumper (they will usually fix that for free if you ask for it). Feel the clutch and see if it makes any weird noises. Those are just some things you should discuss them with the sales guy, it can save you lots of bucks.

The civic type R is in a whole different price bracket. It's at least twice as much as what a used FR-S goes for.

I am waiting on the dealer to receive the title from the bank and then I'll have my new to me FR-S shortly assuming that process doesn't get held up...the anticipation is killing me

Civic is more practical but that's it. One of my friends has a civic si 2015 and yea I know it isn't the type r but it isn't that great. It's bland. Older civics are better. But nothing tops the smiles per gallon you get from the frs at that price range.

Isn't there a forum for FRS/BRZ vs. X?

Everyone i have mentioned to that I am about to get an FR-S is saying "get an STI/ WRX" or "get a GTI or Focus ST" Umm no...I desire an impractical RWD vehicle.

Hondas just don't do it for me anyways and the radio looks impossible to swap for an aftermarket which is a deal-breaker
