Well, there's a ton of mecha anime... just most of em have crappy storyline. Mecha anime have very limited things can do, so that's why story writer have hard time beating Gundam or Macross storyline

A pretty good mecha anime that had an interesting story, in my opinion, would be Eureka Seven. The plot was pretty good and the characters enjoyable. Anyone else have any thoughts on it?

Music was good, mecha was well thought together, each chara was unique & they had good va to go with it (in JP ver anyways). One problem I had w E7 was, they try to complicate the plot more than they should of. If they kept few of bg story & boring stuff out, it could of been a lot better |

Lol yeah that's the classic one. I really like the original and the movie do you remember love the best. There's something magical about the 80s that no other anime comes close to capturing. Frontier is the only one that comes close, but its definitely a 2000s magic and not 80s. Cheesy and still awesome, that's the only way I can describe it. And the mecha action is pure awesome.

I actually really like Macross Zero and Frontier and my most favorite song would be ai obete ii masuka I guess that's pretty standard.

i'm actually one of those people that didn't like zero very much. it just, didn't make a lot of sense. seven was real cheesy and over the top, but for some reason still had it's charm. my favorite valk is also the yf-19.
