Looks excellent! Now I can't decide whether to go with 5Axis or Carsmo! Clever placement of the BRZ badge, too! I dig it

That's what the pieces of vinyl are for.

We shipped the spoiler in a hurry and did not include the vinyl dots to seal the holes. These are automotive grade vinyls used for decals and molds. They will seal the holes and prevent moisture/water from getting into the trunk. (just like what Draco-REX did)

We use 3M VHB Series tape to mount the spoilers. We've consulted with 3M directly, this is not the regular tapes you find at Pepboys. This is "rivet replacement" tape used on racecars. However, like Draco-REX mentioned, correctly prepping the surface is absolutely crucial. That is why we recommend professional installation of the spoiler.

TRD spoiler requires drilling 2 holes on the trunk. You have to be really careful, because eventually water will get in there as well.

Also, please refer to this phot:

We intentionally leave the center bottom of the spoiler tapeless, so any trapped moisture can escape.

How would one go about making sure the stock and trd spoilers dont let water in?

Great write-up. I can't wait for mine to get here. No one was around to paint match WR Blue so I have an extra wait after I get it. Might give me an excuse to come up with a 2-tone scheme.
I like that it comes with stickers and a cloth
^Turbowned: I was originally planing on the 5axis until I saw this one. Personally I think the Carsmo one is way better

The Stock and TRD spoilers use rubber gaskets around all bolts/pins that go through the trunk. If you get the TRD spoiler it will come with vinyl patches to cover the holes in the trunk that it doesn't use if you car came with the stock spoiler.

Believe me, there's no water getting in the trunk from those patches. For one, I've doubled-up on the patches since I used them to block water when I washed the car (no water got in). Then I put a second set on the outside like normal. Also, good vinyl, like the kind I used, is very strong. It will hold up to years of getting dirt thrown at it without lifting.

Three things will prevent that vinyl from coming up. PREP, PREP, and PREP. There is no doubt in my mind that my trunk will remain dry.

Awesome. The paint match on mine was very close; enough so that I don't think anyone would notice. Granted, black isn't difficult to match, but the amount and color of the flake in the paint was very close.
